I vote for a hybrid of both. I like the top version's warmer overall look, but I would vote varying the tonal values of the bright spots. One more intense than the others so that the eye is led to a sole focal point. Perhaps use the subdued light on the bottom pic for most of the "spots" and the brightest one from the top version. Cool Pic!!!
